I have never been a very patient person. I'm more patient now that I used to be, but I'm still always wanting things NOW.
Caring for Mom has certainly tried what patience I do have, and I'm definitely having to be patient about when this will end. I never planned to be taking care of her for years and years, and that is still true--more than ever, actually. But it hasn't been that long, and I'm impatient already.
I'm trying to learn to be more in the moment, to realize that this IS temporary, as is everything. That I would do well to make the most of what's good about now, because it's not going to be this way forever.
