OctPoWriMo Day 6 prompt: What Makes You Nervous

Today's post is "What Makes You Nervous." What gives you butterflies in the stomach, makes you anxious? (I have to choose one??)

The other option is to try a "Joseph's Star," which has no rhyme, and is written according to syllable counts. Syllables are 1, 3, 5, 7, 7, 5, 3, and 1. The poem may be written on any subject, be center aligned, has no stanza limit, and should have complete statements in each line.

I combined the two, sort of. The Joseph's Star was challenging, but I'm glad I went for it and tried something new. I hope I got it right!

No

No.
So often
I wish I'd said no
when I said yes or maybe.
Or I stayed silent instead.
Silence speaks volumes.
No is too
hard.

  1. I LOVE this! Would you mind if I print it for my office? I am a therapist... it would be perfect for so many people ... we post things on a bulletin board and this would be fab there!
